Vijayadashami or Dasara or Dussehra is considered as the beginning of festival season in India. It is celebrated in the month of Ashwin according to Hindu Calendar that usually falls during the period of October or November according to English Calendar. It is celebrated as a victory of maa Durga over the demon mahishasura. The same day lord Rama defeated the evil Ravan so it marks the triumph of good over evil.
